Handy Foundation w/ Local 700

The Animation Guild, IATSE Local 839, represents artists, writers, technicians, and production workers in the animation industry, and has over 6,000 active members. TAG works independently and with other IATSE Locals on efforts to increase diversity in the entertainment industry; members have represented the Local at high school and college career fairs, film festivals, and discussion panels, and The Animation Guild hosts a virtual event for recent graduates each spring to offer advice on breaking into the industry and raise awareness of the valuable benefits that union membership can bring to a career in animation.
